The presentations explore accessibility and inclusion in relation to careers and employability and PGR students’ journey into and through the PhD highlighting challenges, good practice and opportunities.

Short presentations were given by Louisa Stratton, Go Abroad Manager and Sally Middleton, Access & Articulation Manager. The presentations explore the University’s position on Widening Access and the work of the Access & Articulation Team in supporting this, as well as looking at specific initiatives to make international opportunities more inclusive and how this is supported by the Go Abroad team.

This one-hour session led with short presentations from colleagues from the Schools of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition and School of Law on their particular experiences was followed by an open discussion. The presentations explored setting different forms of assessment for different students on the same topic, and reviewing and widening reading lists.

The first in a series of discussion sessions led by the Centre for Academic Development (CAD) was held for colleagues to explore accessibility and inclusion in Education and to share existing good practice.
This one hour session had short presentations from colleagues from the Schools of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition & Divinity, History, Philosophy and Art History on their particular experiences which was followed by an open discussion. Our first set of presentations explored timetabling change and religious events and teaching topics on which students have a variety of personal views.
