Call Insights are focussed seminars arranged in response to specific funding calls, delivered by a member of the Grants Academy with a senior academic colleague. Sessions cover the main requirements of the call including remit, eligibility, application requirements, funding and a Q&A.

Details of current and upcoming external and internal funding oportunities, managed calls and how to make the most from ResearchConnect are on the Grants Academy funding page.
The Grants Academy also disseminates funding opportunities through regular bulletins and targeted mailings.
The Research and Innovation Research Development team have a wealth of funding expertise and can be contacted directly with specific funding queries at anytime.
- Funder visits and Funder Insights

The Grants Academy regularly arranges visits from key research funders to hear about their strategies and funding opportunities first hand. We also deliver Funder Insights sessions, focussed on sharing latest insights, including perspectives from colleagues who sit on grant awarding panels, and from recent awardees.
Sessions are publicised via School mailings and Directors of Research as well as on the Grants Academy News and Events – recordings of previous sessions are also available here.

AHRC (UKRI) 1500-1630 29 August 23 (hybrid) This session was delivered by Professor Christopher Smith (AHRC Executive Chair) and Ruth Robinson (AHRC Head of Operations) and provided insights into the AHRC’s strategic direction and the implication to funding priorities and opportunities.
