The University has two formal benchmarking groups which apply only at institutional level, agreed by Court at its meeting on 30 September 2020; a Scottish Group, and an Aspirational and Competitor Group.
The Scottish Group is designed to gauge performance against competitor universities operating within the same local funding and regulatory environment.
The Aspirational and Competitor group is based on relative league table rankings, including universities that routinely place above Aberdeen, but within close proximity. This group will be routinely reviewed to reflect changes in league table rankings over time.
