On this note found on the verso of a manuscript version of The Chief of Bemersyde, Skinner gives speed directions for the music:
'Same Tempo as Bovaglie or Oor Highland Queen [both tunes appear in The Harp & Claymore] Blood & Tears. Of course the time is the tempo about 80.' |
