Human robot interaction network
Robotics and AI are at the forefront of the current fourth industrial revolution. However, to bring these technologies to effective fruition, interaction between humans and robots needs to enable acceptance, collaboration and effectiveness. This project builds on previous research at Aberdeen into human robot interaction (HRI) and establishes a multidisciplinary network which includes the Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Mechatronics Systems group (ARMS) and Prof. Patric Bach, from the School of Psychology and lead of the Action Prediction Lab, to focus on the acquisition and deployment of Pepper, a humanoid robot designed for HRI.
