UKBA - Why YOU should care

All members of the department are welcome: undergraduates, postgraduates, postdocs, teaching staff, technical staff - anyone who would like to attend and learn a little bit about what our speakers do in their research career. Members from other disciplines within the School, and the wider University community, are also welcome to attend.

All PhD students in Chemistry are expected to attend as part of their PhD training.

Points-based immigration and UK Border Agency requirements for universities. All staff, students and members of the public welcome.

This seminar will provide you with the opportunity to hear from those directly affected and ask them questions about their experiences.

Speakers include:

  • Steve Cannon –Secretary to the University, University of Aberdeen
  • Mark Campbell – Senior Lecturer, London Metropolitan University
  • Daniel Stevens – NUS International Student Officer
  • A student and staff member affected by visa problems
  • Chris Nicholas - Equality Support Official, UCU
Refreshments will be included. No booking required, just come along.
