Dr Alistair Appleby's paper on spirituality and primary care is 5th most read in 2018
Last year CRH PhD student and GP, Dr Alistair Appleby, published an article titled "What GPs mean by 'spirituality' and how they apply this concept with patients: a qualitative study" in the British Journal of General Practice. It has just been revealed to be the journal's 5th most read research article in 2018!
The article reports on the interview study, which explored the understanding, beliefs, and attitudes of a selection of Scottish GPs and how they apply this with patients. Four attitudes to and patterns of spiritual care were identified from the interviews and describe the variation in the delivery of spiritual care.
