Description
A small domed oven shaped building of old bricks, lined with mosaics of shells. Set in a hard landscaping of cobbles with a small pool etc.
Related Information
Dunnottar Woodland Park Association renovated the Shell House in the early 2000s. It is made from the same bricks as the wall of the main garden. It could have been a reused structure but it's more likely the bricks were left over and reused. There was extensive diging around the base of the building when it was
renovated and they discovered much of what is now visible at ground level - the small walls & the pool.
