A modern stone menhir with bronze plaque commemorating a 14th century battle.

Related Information

Commemorates the site of the bloody battle of Culblean fought on St Andrews day (Nov 30th) 1335 between Sir Andrew de Moray, Warden of Scotland who won over David, Earl of Atholl. This marked the turning point in the second Scottish War of Independence. Erected by Deeside Field Club in 1956.
