Members of CHERI were key contributors at this year's NHS Grampian Medical Education Conference held at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on the 16th November.
Prof Peter Johnston took the floor as Conference Chair, whilst Jen, Kirsty, Gillian and Ben teamed up to present an overview of CHERI and the team's latest research.
The team also held a well-attended workshop entitled "Careers choices for established doctors". This explored the current issues surrounding understaffing and under recruitment of doctors and other healthcare professionals in Grampian. The team introduced evidence produced from two 10-year programmes of work led by the University of Aberdeen and NES on medical careers making, looking at the messages for recruitment and retention. This information was used to stimulate discussion and blue skies thinking about how we can attract trainees and staff to Grampian now and in the future.
