Folio 12v
Miscellaneous devotions, continued.
Introduction to the prayer. Domine deus omnipotens, comtinued.
If, in a storm at sea, someone takes a cupful of sea-water, says this prayer and
throws the water into the sea, the storm will abate. Whoever says it daily will
be healed of his afflictions. He will become wise and will live eternally with
the angels and saints. The virtues of this prayer are known only to God, who
said: 'Ask and it shall be given you' (Matthew, 7:7).
