FIDERH, the Fund for Human Resource Development of the Bank of Mexico, provides affordable loans to Mexican students who wish to study overseas at postgraduate level.

Please note, this scholarship is only available for Aberdeen campus students.
The University of Aberdeen recently signed an agreement with FIDERH, the Fund for Human Resource Development of the Bank of Mexico. Through this partnership, the University is offering a 20% discount of the tuition fee to students who are granted a Bank of Mexico FIDERH loan. Students must hold an offer from the University of Aberdeen for a Masters or a PhD degree within the following colleges or schools:
- Business School
Arts and Social Sciences
- School of Divinity, History and Philosophy
- School of Education
- School of Language, Literature, Music and Visual Culture
- School of Law
- School of Social Science
Life Sciences and Medicine
- School of Biological Sciences
- School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition
- School of Psychology
Physical Sciences
- School of Natural and Computing Sciences
- School of Geosciences (available only to degrees in the departments of Archaeology and Geography and Environment)

Eligibility
Students already in receipt or due to receive a CONACyT scholarship are not eligible.
Criteria
Applicants who hold either a conditional or an unconditional offer from the University of Aberdeen for postgraduate study.
Application Procedure
If you are successful in obtaining FIDERH, you should notify our Postgraduate Admissions team at the earliest opportunity so that the appropriate information can be reflected in your CAS document for Student visa purposes. Please contact pgadmissions@abdn.ac.uk, providing a copy of your funding confirmation letter.
