If you’re studying in the School of Medicine, Medical Science and Nutrition, you’ll be assigned a Regent to support you throughout your studies. This will be a senior member of University or NHS staff who will meet with you regularly to provide support and guidance on personal problems you have during your studies. Your Regent will understand what it is like to work in clinical settings and how to deal with issues you may encounter.
Academic support provided by personal tutors in other programmes is provided by your Year Lead teams and the Student Learning Service.
Regents also act as a mentors to support your professional development. They can provide opportunities for networking, research and further learning experiences in clinical settings.
