Celebrating the diversity of the University community and embedding equality throughout the organisation is a key priority for the University. This of course means ensuring equality for our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender staff and students. The University is a Stonewall Diversity Champion, we have a staff LGBT Network as well as active student forums and we have improved our Workplace Equality Index score year-on-year.
Sadly external research indicates that individuals from the LGBT community continue to face discrimination and prejudice in the UK.
