The University’s Centre for Ministry Studies, which was established earlier this year, had its official launch this week (Tuesday 27 May).
For the launch, the centre welcomed guest speaker, NT Wright, Research Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at the University of St Andrews.
Professor Wright led a seminar for staff and students in the afternoon and gave a public lecture in the evening to an audience of more than 150 people who had come to hear him speak about his most recent publication entitled ‘Paul and the Faithfulness of God’.
Those who attended were also given the opportunity to meet Professor Wright and have him sign copies of his new book during a wine reception that was held in the Divinity Library. The event was heralded as a great success by staff and students alike as well as by members of the wider community who enjoyed the evening enormously.
