The North research theme

Visit the new web pages to find out about the theme's scope and activities and sign up for the mailing list.

The North theme is one of the four multidisciplinary Themes initiated as part of the University of Aberdeen’s strategic plan to address key global challenges of the contemporary society.

The North theme aims to cross disciplinary boundaries to enhance the University’s contribution to all aspects of research into the North and to establish an Aberdeen Institute for the North with its own building, centred on a Museum of the North to attract researchers from around the world.

We invite colleagues across the University to join this exciting initiative, take part in cross-disciplinary research collaborations and activities, and benefit from funding opportunities, workshops and seminars.
