Swap cars, buses and trains for a ticket to stride during Walk to Work Week, 13-17 May.
Walking for just 30 minutes each day can transform fitness levels, reduce stress, and vastly improve concentration levels for the day ahead. Being physically active can also mean people are less likely to suffer from major health problems, less likely to take sickness leave and less likely to have an accident at work.
‘Get About’, with support from NHS Grampian aims to encourage employees in Grampian to swap cars, buses and trains for a ticket to stride this Walk to Work Week.
Participants can log their walks on the Living Streets website and see calories burnt, CO2 saved, and compare with colleagues.
There is also a workplace Guide and other useful resources to help encourage your colleagues to take part.
