Invitation to Process
Dear colleagues,
This year's Summer graduation ceremonies will take place between Monday 24 June and Friday 28 June 2024 in our Graduation Marquee on King’s College Campus.
Academic and Academic-Related colleagues (Grade 5 and above) are eligible to join the Academic Procession. If you would like to attend any of the ceremonies and take part in the Academic Procession, you should complete this application form which should be submitted by Friday 3 May.
Everyone taking part in the Procession should wear dark clothes, academic dress and white bow ties where appropriate. Please note that the Registry’s stock of white bow ties is very limited and the loan of one cannot be guaranteed.
Ede & Ravenscroft have been appointed as the University’s official robe suppliers and will provide staff with academic dress free of charge providing the order is placed before the deadline.
Processing instructions will be available around one week before the ceremonies.
Support staff and technical staff (Grades 4 and below) are eligible to apply for a guest ticket for the ceremonies. Ticket allocations are subject to availability.
All colleagues can volunteer to usher at graduation ceremonies. Spaces for ushers are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to take part as an usher, please contact gradstaff@abdn.ac.uk.
In order to allow sufficient time to order robes, and to avoid staff paying for hire please submit your application to process no later than Friday 3 May.
