Congratulations to the Institute of Applied Health Sciences team for their recent grant successes. Several members of the team working on different projects have been awarded grants from various bodies:

  • Well done to Professor Gary MacFarlane (Project Lead), Co-I’s – Gareth Jones, Robert Anderson, and Rosemary Hollick: The Centre for Musculoskeletal Health and Work (CMHW): from research to impact – awarded £122k by the NIHR.
  • Well done to Dr Andrea Woolner (Project Lead), Co-I’s Dr David McLernon, Professor Graham Scotland and Professor Siladitya Bhattacharya - Progesterone for threatened miscarriage: a Scottish national cohort study, awarded £298k by the CSO
  • Well done to Dr Simon Sawhney (Project Lead), Co-I Dr Magdalena Rzewuska Diaz: Understanding and reducing inequalities in kidney health care and outcomes in Scotland, awarded £298k by the CSO
