Consultation on proposed changes
Dear colleagues,
Following the communication about the consultation on proposed changes to the USS Pension Scheme, an online open session will take place on Wednesday, 1 November between 2pm and 3pm.
Catriona Probert from pension specialists Mercer will begin the session with an overview on USS benefits and the proposed changes included in the current consultation exercise which ends on 24 November 2023.
Chief Financial Officer Mark White and Director of People Debbie Dyker will also explain how the University’s consultation exercise is being managed.
You will be able to put questions to those on the panel as well as submit feedback directly at the session if you wish to. Remember you can also submit feedback via the consultation website by following the login process detailed there. Any views you give on the website will be anonymous – the University will not be able to identify you in your response.
This open session is available for all staff already in or eligible to join the USS* and you will be able to join the session at this link.
A recording will be made available for those who are unable to join on the day.
*Staff eligible to join the USS are those in posts Grade 5 and above.
