Remembering Dr Elizabeth Goatman

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great sadness that we let you know of the death of Dr Elizabeth Goatman on Friday 30 June after a period of illness.

Elizabeth joined the University in November 2004 as Research Statistician with TauRx Therapeutics group, spun out of the University to translate promising research into treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease.

Elizabeth became a well-respected colleague and friend across the University and with partners in Berlin and Warsaw. Elizabeth was instrumental in driving forward complex statistical modelling of data for TauRx with her rigorous and meticulous approach.

I know you will wish to join me in offering her Husband Keith and daughters Rachel and Isabel our sincerest condolences during this sad time. Elizabeth will be missed as a colleague and friend.

If you are impacted by this and wish to talk with someone or receive support, I would encourage you to reach out to colleagues. You can also contact the counselling service (counselling@abdn.ac.uk) or the Chaplaincy (chaplaincy@abdn.ac.uk).

Kind Regards,

Bhatty
