Last week, (Friday, February 24) MSP Kevin Stewart paid a visit to the University to meet with staff from graduate start-up company, Zephyrus Aerolabs, who recently won Young EDGE R20.
Mr Stewart was keen to meet the team after hearing about their award win, and wanted to learn more about the green-tech start-up which is in his own constituency.
Zephyrus Aerolabs Ltd. was founded by three post-graduate students with diverse professional backgrounds from the M.Sc. in Oil and Gas Enterprise Management program at the University of Aberdeen. The team is dedicated to creating a cornerstone technology that will make remote emission monitoring in real-time possible across multiple industries.
The MSP was given a short presentation on the company’s developments and plans to support the climate initiatives of Aberdeen and the wider North-East.
Steven Hamill, Chief Operating Operator of Scottish Edge and Jenna Stuart from the University’s Academic Services and Online Education team were also present at the visit.
Saurabh Kumar, co-founder and CEO joined virtually for the presentation.
