New Chief Financial Officer

New Chief Financial Officer

A message from University Principal - George Boyne:

Dear Colleagues

I am delighted to let you know that we have appointed a new Chief Financial Officer to the University.

Mark White – who joins us from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde where he has been Director of Finance since 2015 – will take up his position with us on 16 May 2022.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Phil McNaull who has held the Director of Finance reins on an interim basis. Phil has played an important role supporting the University.

Highly experienced and a respected strategic leader, Mark has a proven track record of managing large and complex organisations through times of significant change and growth. Prior to his NHS position, Mark was a Director within PwC’s Risk Assurance practice.

Commenting on his new University role, Mark said: “This is an exciting time for the University and I am delighted to be appointed as the new CFO.

I am particularly looking forward to working closely with colleagues and key stakeholders to deliver the ambitions outlined in Aberdeen 2040.”

I am sure you will join me in welcoming Mark to the University.

Best wishes

George
