The University's Founders' Day Service takes place on Sunday 13 February at 11.00am, in King's College Chapel.

The service will be conducted by the University Chaplain Rev David Hutchison, and the sermon will be given by The Rt Hon Lord Wallace of Tankerness QC (Jim Wallace), the current Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

Those who are eligible (see list below) and wish to apply to take part in the academic procession at the service are requested to complete this online form before Thursday 27 January. Members of the University Court, Senatus Academicus, Readers, Lecturers, Recognised Teachers, Members of Academic-Related Staff, Professors Emeriti, Honorary Graduates and Members of the Business Committee of the General Council are all eligible.

Those joining the academic procession are requested to assemble in the Linklater Rooms by 10.20am at the latest.

Unfortunately, due to reduced capacity in the Chapel this year we cannot accommodate any extra staff, students, guests, or public to watch unless they are directly involved in the service or procession. The service will be streamed live online for anyone not involved who wishes to watch, you will find the link to join by searching for the event on our ‘What’s On’ pages nearer the time.
