Black History Month - October 2020

Join in the annual celebration of Black History Month – October 1- 31st, 2020

October marks the start of Black History Month and the University will be joining in the annual celebration of Black History and African culture.

We are delivering an exciting programme of online events, recognising the remarkable contributions that people of African and Caribbean descent have made in the UK and beyond. We have a fantastic line-up of guest speakers, poets and politicians who will be sharing their experiences and discussing important topics in areas including literary arts, politics, science and business.

We will also be sharing resources from our students and staff to help with our education and learning across the community.

The theme for this year’s UK Black History Month is dig deeper, look closer, think bigger and our events, blogs, podcasts and talks series will emphasise the need for us all as a community to pay tribute to this theme.

Stay tuned for our line-up announcement and the release of our special Black History Month e-Zine!
