Audrey Innes, Technician, School of Geosciences, is retiring on the 23rd August, after almost 43 years with the University.
Audrey has made enormous contributions to many areas of the University throughout her career, including Agricultural Bacteriology, Medical Microbiology, and latterly Geography in the School of Geosciences. She has also been involved in research groups- Applied Food group, Proteomics, E.coli 0157 and Campylobacter Reference Laboratory (where she was involved in the E.coli outbreak of 1996).
Throughout her career her wide ranging experience and knowledge has been invaluable in helping students and academics in their research projects and work.
Audrey’s record stands as testimony to her well recognised strengths in knowledge, skills, performance, attitude and resourcefulness. She met new challenges and extra demand with fortitude, patience and humour, providing an unfailing and outstanding service to the School, University and beyond.
We wish her well for a long and happy retirement.
