Sergi Arnau, a graduate of the School of Engineering has been shortlisted within the Rising Star category of the 2019 Scottish Knowledge Exchange Awards.
The Scottish Knowledge Exchange awards, organised by Interface, recognises, rewards and celebrates impacts achieved through collaborative business and academic partnerships.
Sergi was a University of Aberdeen Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate with Aubin Ltd., and designed, manufactured and tested a scaled underwater crane model, enabling the subsequent construction of a full-size working demonstrator for subsea lifting. The project resulted in significant business development for the company, continued collaborative research for the University, and enhanced skills and attributes for the Associate.
