The IT Service Desk is on the move!

The IT Service Desk is moving its face-to-face service to the first floor of The Sir Duncan Rice Library on Monday 3 September.

From Monday 3 September, this will be our sole drop-in location on the Old Aberdeen campus. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, we’ll be there to help you with IT related queries.

Our previous walk-in location in the Edward Wright Building will be permanently closed to visitors. However, email and phone enquiries will be unaffected by our move, and our Foresterhill Service Desk in room 1:122 of the Polwarth Building will remain open.

We initiated this move in response to comments from students, who gave us valuable feedback via the recent University-wide Student Engagement programme, and from staff via our IT Survey.

The IT Service Desk is your first point of contact for any IT-related queries or issues. We handle around 50,000 calls every year ranging from password or wi-fi enquiries, to use or purchase of software or specialist equipment to support research. If we cannot resolve your issue on the spot, we pass it to our colleagues in the relevant subject specialist teams. Our aim is to help you make the most of University IT facilities in support of your work, teaching or research.

We look forward to meeting you at our new location.
