Training for new Travel Management Services Provider

Training for new Travel Management Services Provider

The University will begin using a new travel provider, Diversity Travel, on 1st February 2018.

Diversity work closely with many of UKs leading academic institutions including University of Liverpool, University of Warwick and London School of Economics, to name a few.

A user group made up of frequent travel bookers who arrange complex travel and also colleagues who could evaluate duty of care/health & safety issues were among those who assisted with the tender exercise and evaluated the bids received.

The evaluation panel was very impressed with the Diversity submission particularly with regard to duty of care and traveller support with a risk management programme in place including pre-trip analysis and access to real time intelligence for each destination.  Their online booking tool looks intuitive and has clear displays which can show the pricing for different types of fares all on one screen as opposed to the current system which would require separate searches.

This new contract is due to commence from 1st February 2018. Implementation plans are well under way to allow for a successful transition from the incumbent supplier. Training will be provided on 18th and 19th January 2018 at both King’s College Campus and at Foresterhill.
