Staff are invited to apply to speak at TEDx UniversityofAberdeen, an independently organised TED event taking place on Thursday 30 March.
TEDx UniversityofAberdeen is an evening event being curated by a dedicated group of students at University of Aberdeen, with an audience of about 100 at the university. Our goal is to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea-focused, on a wide range of subjects, to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter.
The theme of the event is ‘Evolution and the Factory of Thoughts' and topics can cover a wide range of areas: linguistics, literature, arts, science, politics, culture, etc. Previous TEDxUniversityOfAberdeen 2016 received a lot of interest and we advise you to submit your application as soon as possible as we are excited to hear your ideas.
To apply to speak at TEDx UniversityofAberdeen, please submit the following to tedxuniversityofaberdeen@gmail.com with the subject line 'TEDx speaker application':
- In one sentence, tell us your idea worth spreading
- Approximately 150 word summary of what you intend to talk about
- Information on any additional elements you may wish to include (e.g. short video clips, audience interaction)
TEDx UniversityofAberdeen is scheduled for Thursday 30 March. We would appreciate if you could send in your application by Tuesday 14 March.
