Ten undergraduates from the University of Aberdeen have been recognised at the Principal's Scholar Awards 2015/16.
In a formal ceremony on 24 October, six students were congratulated for their academic excellence or outstanding contribution to the University. Four others also received the award but were unable to attend the ceremony as they are currently studying abroad. The recipients were nominated by their School and presented with a certificate by the Principal, as well as a £1000 one-off bursary funded by Ede & Ravenscroft, the University’s Robe Suppliers.
Vice Principal for teaching and learning, Peter McGeorge, said: “These individuals have shown how outstanding our students are and it was a privilege to see their continued efforts recognised with this award. This achievement will be marked on their degree transcripts, and, in their role as a Scholar they will help us to inspire new and existing students at events such open days or other public engagement opportunities. They are truly a credit to their Schools, and to the University, and I wish them continued success both in the remainder of their studies and the beginning of their careers.”
