This minute-taking workshop is designed for people with all levels of experience who wish to improve their effectiveness at taking minutes.

The participative course is useful for anyone who has to take minutes as part of their work – whether you are asked to minute the occasional team meeting or are responsible for minuting more formal meetings, this workshop will have something for you.

This half-day course will cover:

  • The purpose and use of minutes
  • Preparation for taking minutes
  • The difference between formal and informal minutes
  • What minutes should include (and what should be left out)
  • Tasks of the effective minute-taker
  • The Freedom of Information Act
