Join staff and students of the University to walk to the citywide event at the Cowdray Hall.
During the Holocaust ordinary people were perpetrators, bystanders, rescuers and witnesses – and ordinary people were victims. Supported by Aberdeen Holocaust Memorial Committee, Aberdeen City Council and many local organisations, this event is an opportunity for us to come together to remember the victims and survivors of all genocides.
Members of the University community are invited to meet at 11am at the Multifaith Chaplaincy. From there we will walk (weather dependant) to the event at the Cowdray Hall at 12 noon. The walk is approximately 30mins (1.5 miles).
You may also be interested in watching the nationwide Holocaust Memorial Day Trust | HMD 2024 from 8pm on 27 January.
The University is committed to supporting all those who are affected by any form of harassment, bullying, violence and sexual misconduct; this includes victims as well as those they have disclosed to or those who have witnessed incidents. Information on support and routes to report any incident can be found on the Universty website.
