Are you an ambitious company looking to drive transformational change and strategic growth, enhance productivity and develop your workforce?

The University of Aberdeen Business School invites businesses in the region to find out how a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) can benefit your business.

Management Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (MKTPs) aim to drive transformational changes in businesses like yours, via novel and innovative partnerships with the UK’s world class Business Schools. In collaboration with a dedicated researcher, a MKTP will apply cutting edge research principles to identify key, strategic, management-based initiatives, and tackle the specific challenges affecting your business.

The KTP scheme is available to support UK businesses wishing to access the knowledge and expertise in Universities to improve their competitiveness and productivity. KTP is a collaborative project to research and implement innovations in processes, services, or products that deliver benefits for the business through cost savings or increased sales.

KTPs are funded by UKRI through Innovate UK with supporters including the Scottish Funding Council and BEIS (Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy). Innovate UK manages the KTP programme and facilitates its delivery through a range of partners including KTN, Knowledge Bases and Businesses. Each partner plays a specific role in the support and delivery of the programme.

KTP Projects can last between 18 months to 3 years. Companies benefit from an up to 67% grant meaning the average annual company contribution to a KTP is £28-35k.

The North of Scotland KTP team provides assistance and guidance in completing the KTP application forms and provides secretarial and administrative support once the project has been awarded.  To date, the centre has helped and successfully managed around 250 KTP projects and has a 95% success rate in getting applications approved.

During this online event you will be given an overview of KTP projects, understand how the North of Scotland KTP team supports you with your application, and take part in a panel discussion with academics and businesses that have worked on KTPs will answer questions from the audience.
