'Discipleship as Relearning Self and World; A healing vision of human life' - A lecture to explore all aspects of healing, health and wellbeing for Christians and churches.
The Revd. Dr. Denis Duncan was a Scottish minister who had a huge influence on the healing ministry. To commemorate his life, the Guild of Health and St Raphael hold an annual lecture in his name to explore all aspects of healing, health and wellbeing for Christians and churches.
The Revd. Dr. Doug Gay, lecturer in Practical Theology at the University of Glasgow, will lead the lecture, followed by a panel discussion with Prof Jim McManus, Public Health director and LSE lecturer, and The Rev’d David Hutchinson, Chaplain to the University of Aberdeen.
The Guild of Health and St Raphael is an ecumenical organisation working with partners including the Church of Scotland and the Episcopal church of Scotland to bring together lay and ordained to explore together our Lord’s call to heal and all aspects of wellbeing from a Christian perspective.
A free drinks reception will take place before the event in the James MacKay Hall at 6.30pm - All are welcome.
