Learn about the last 1000 years of the Greenland Ice Sheet with Dr Danni Pearce.

Have you ever wanted to know more about the Arctic and wondered why the Greenland Ice Sheet is so important? Or how scientists collect data to help us to understand the changes currently facing the ice sheet? Then come along and Dr Danni Pearce, University of Aberdeen, will walk you through the last 1000 years of the Greenland Ice Sheet as well as the ups (and some downs) of working in such a remote environment. There will also be a premiere of a short documentary-film, which shows footage from the last two expeditions (2015 and 2016).

Admission is FREE, Booking is required HERE.
