Join a simulation of the real-world Arctic Council where undergraduates play delegate roles of Arctic states and Indigenous peoples organisations. Registration deadline 13 January 2023.
Student delegates are challenged to negotiate unanimous consensus on some of the most pressing questions facing the Arctic.
- SCOTMAC 2 will feature expert teaching and guidance from Arctic specialists, three days of diplomacy to hone speaking and consensus-building skills, and social events to build lasting friendships with fellow delegates from universities in Scotland, the rest of the UK, and beyond.
- SCOTMAC 2 will take place between 10-12 March 2023 at Glasgow Caledonian University.
- SCOTMAC is an educational initiative designed by Polar Aspect and hosted by the Scotland-Arctic Network, a collaborative alliance of Scottish universities researching, teaching and learning about the Circumpolar North. SCOMTAC 2 will be hosted by Glasgow Caledonian University in collaboration with Trent University.
