Shooting up fourteen places in the complete university guide to rank fifteenth in the UK.
Music in the University of Aberdeen has never been in better shape with fabulous results in the national student survey last year and now, shooting up fourteen places in the complete university guide's best universities and departments results for 2018.
A young and relatively small department, Aberdeen has consistently hit above its weight and is now ranked in the top fifteen music departments, jumping above many bigger and older departments such as Cardiff, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, the Royal Academy of Music and King’s College London. Head of Music, Dr Eddie Campbell said, ‘We are delighted with this result which shows our consistent dedication to standards and innovation has paid off. We are relatively small and recent, but everyone has worked hard – both staff and students – to create and sustain a department that is both rooted in classical music tradition and contemporary innovation. Well done to all staff and students.’
