Join Perthshire poet, translator and novelist Kenneth Steven for the first of the Festival's three Scandinavian-themed FREE literary events. Booking essential.
Kenneth spent two years in Norway working in Folk High Schools, becoming fluent in both major dialects of Norwegian. Commissioned to translate the Nordic Prize-winning novel The Half Brother (his translation went on to be short-listed for two major literary awards), he has since translated a number of other books by contemporary Norwegian novelists, poets and non-fiction writers.
More recently, Kenneth’s work on the story of the Sami people of Arctic Scandinavia - Beneath the Ice - was published by Saraband.
