Professor Simon Ball from the Department of History at the University of Glasgow, will give a talk on 'The rise and fall of the small-bore merchants of death in 20th century Britain'. The paper will consider Britain's role in the decline of small arms control in the 20th century. It will outline a typology of thinking about small arms control that may be of use in 21st century debates.
