Item Description

This article is the first in a series published by the Workers' Herald on 'Men who are not Socialists'. It refers to the Duke of Hamilton, his business interests, his castles and how much he earns through the labourers and miners in Lanarkshire. The point of the article is that the Duke is extremely wealthy whilst the many workers who labour so hard to create his wealth for him are extremely poor.
