Biography

I received my BSc in Psychology (1st Honours, supervised by Dr Jasna Martinovic) from University of Aberdeen in 2019. I spent a few years working outside of academia, before returning to University of Aberdeen to start my PhD in 2021. My PhD project examines audio-visual interactions in the absence of conscious visual awareness. My supervisory team includes Prof Arash Sahraie, Dr Thomas Otto (University of St Andrews), Dr Rama Chakravarthi, and Prof Mary Joan MacLeod.

Apart from research, I am also a PGR representative for the School of Psychology in the PGR School, as well as a PGR student representative in the University Research Committee.

Research Overview

My PhD research uses psychophysical and computational approaches to investigate multisensory cue integration, particularly in the context of conscious awareness. More specifically, I am investigating how audio-visual information is processed in the absence of visual awareness (e.g., due to brain injury, or masking in healthy individuals).
