On 31 May 2024, the Centre for Private International Law will be holding the second workshop in a series of workshops organised under the auspices of an RSE-funded research project titled 'Laying the Foundations for a Restatement of Scots Private International Law'. The aim of this collaborative project is to take stock of the present state of Scots Private International Law and its relationship with other legal systems, and – drawing on the experiences of other States – assess how a restatement of Scots Private International Law could be formulated, as well as routes for advocating reform.
