Digital Skills Officer, Digital & Information Services (LIB247A)
This post will form part of the Directorate of Digital & Information Services within the University’s Professional Services. The role is based in the Digital Skills Team within Library Services.
Job Description
The post will primarily be involved in a project to develop the AI Learning Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of learning pathways to support staff and postgraduate researchers with the adoption of AI and automation in support of administrative tasks. They will have experience of delivering high quality teaching and development of online learning resources for a varied audience. The postholder will have knowledge of digital literacies and computational models. The post holder will enjoy working collaboratively to develop services and have the ability to convey complex concepts to a general audience. They will have experience of digital transformation in a Higher Education institution.
Additional duties will involve supporting the activities of the Digital Skills Team including the monitoring of IT enquiries and delivery of digital skills training to staff and students.
This is a fixed term full-time position, available for 12 months
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 6, £37,999 - £45,163 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
