Research Fellow, Law (LAW079R)

We are looking to appoint a motivated and accomplished individual for a full-time three-year position of postdoctoral Research Fellow for the TRANSECTS project (TRANSitions In Energy For Coastal Communities Over Time And Space). The postholder will be based in the School of Law but will support an interdisciplinary team at the University of Aberdeen and other members of the consortium to develop case studies in just marine energy transitions.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant field Social Sciences / Geography / Policy and a demonstrable track record of mixed method research and stakeholder engagement. Key responsibilities for this role include to:

  • · Conduct mixed methods research (including document research, archival analysis, exploratory interviews and field work)
  • · Conduct Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological, Legal and Environmental (PESTLE) analysis and key informant interviews
  • · Assistance with project management
  • · Contribution to completion of research outputs
  • · Contribution to research dissemination and communication
  • · Functioning effectively as an integral member of an interdisciplinary research team and facilitating communication between team members

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 6, £37,099 - £41,732 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience.
