Lecturer, Education (EDU141A)
We are looking to recruit a full-time Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) to teach across the department of Initial Teacher Education and the department of Early Childhood Education and Care. This post arises from an exceptional period of growth in the School of Education, as we invest in our teaching and research capacity.
Job Description
The successful candidate will have a passion for a high-quality student experience and be motivated to contribute to a culture of high-quality research-enhanced teaching within the department and the School while working with others to enhance the School of Education’s teaching-quality reputation; ultimately, to make a difference by improving children’s education and experiences.
An inspirational teacher, the successful candidate’s students will be motivated, creative individuals, with a strong understanding of social justice and global citizenship. Candidates will have been involved in contributing to new thinking and ways of working with a developmental disposition; a passion for quality; and a keen ability to understand changing educational, socio-political, and economic landscapes.
Candidates must be registered with (or eligible for registration with) the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) (Primary) registration, hold good networks relevant to the role, have an international outlook, and be excited about opportunities which may arise to work internationally.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 7, £50,694 – £55,295 with placement according to qualifications and experience.
