Sophie Shaw returns from Cesky Krumlov after instructing on the two-week Workshop on Genomics 2016
Sophie has just returned from two weeks in the picturesque town of Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic which is the setting for the annual Workshop on Genomics. Reseachers from around the globe attended the course which encompassed lectures and computer laboratories from world-leading bioinformatic experts including Brian Haas, the developer of Trinity, Julian Catchen, the developer of Stacks, and developers from the QIIME and PhyloSeq teams. Sophie's role was to help with the organisation and teaching of the workshops as well as building links with these important researchers.

The computer labs were held in the beautiful 14th century Prelate complete with chandeliers and frescos.
