The GeoMX Spatial biology platform is a cutting edge new technology that can help accelerate your research goals ! The platform will be available to academics and researchers across the University soon.
The CGEBM have taken delivery of the Universities first spatial biology platforms.
Here’s a bit about what the GeoMx and nCounter systems can do:
The Nanostring GeoMX , Digital Spatial Profiler and nCounter allow quantification of RNA and protein expression levels in regions of interest with direct, digital counting of barcodes using the nCounter® Analysis System or sequencing on an Illumina platform. Stain whole slides with assay probes and fluorescent markers, then decide which regions of the tissue you want to profile. Quickly resolve tissue heterogeneity and the complexity of microenvironments with the GeoMx Digital Spatial Profiler (DSP), the most flexible and robust spatial multiomic platform for analysis of FFPE and fresh frozen tissue sections. GeoMx is non-destructive and profiles expression of RNA and protein from distinct tissue compartments and cell populations with an automated and scalable workflow that integrates with standard histology staining.
More details and information on an upcoming seminar on how these platforms can enhance your research strategy coming soon !
