CGEBM welcomes Dr Louie van de Lagemaat to the team.
CGEBM is pleased to welcome Dr Louie van de Lagemaat to the bioinformatics team. Dr van de Lagemaat joins us from Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) at the Queen Mary University of London. Dr van de Lagemaat's 15 years of post-doctoral experience in computational molecular studies, bioinformatics and statistics alongside his role within the BCI bioinformatics core facility brings a broad range of expert informatics skills from an extensive background in multidisciplinary projects in addressing gene regulation, transcriptomics, proteomics, interactomics and genomics, along with in depth understanding of Bayesian and frequentist statistics and modelling complex relationships between data. Dr van de Lagemaat has published extensively on subjects ranging from AML biology and haematopoiesis to molecular neuroscience and the biology of repetitive DNA.
His expertise will be a valuable addition to CGEBM supported research projects, bioinformatics service provision and to the wider teaching and training activities delivered by the CGEBM.
