CGEBM welcomes new bioinformatician
CGEBM is pleased to welcome Dr. Marius Wenzel to the bioinformatics team following his post-doctoral position within the University of Aberdeen.
Dr. Wenzel's background is in molecular ecology and evolutionary genomics in animal populations, and his main research interests are genome evolution, phylogenomics and epigenomics.
He brings a wide range of informatics skills in NGS data processing, statistical analysis and data mining, with a particular focus on long-read sequencing technologies, genome assembly and transcriptomics.
His expertise will be a valuable addition to providing core bioinformatics solutions for CGEBM projects and to the wider teaching and training activities delivered by the CGEBM.
